Modern Island Home Architecture in Amsterdam – Sodae House By VMX

VMX is one of the pupuler architects in the Netherlands now, he built a house of 500m2 with the Netherlands style of architecture in the natural area between Amsterdam, Amstelveen and Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, located 1 Kostverlorenkade; island measuring 1200m2. The starting point for this concept is the perception of landscape, the tall buildings away from the Zuid As and Rembrandt Tower and the view plane trips to and from Schiphol.

The living room and kitchen are arranged in a loft-like space on the first floor. More intimate areas (bedroom and bathroom) located on the ground floor, oriented in the park at the rear. basement contains additional programs such as fitness room and home cinema. Houses form the object in the landscape, the island acts as a support column.
