Romantic Cottage Bedroom

Roses IS FOR LOVE … and as you can see, this room has a theme of roses. Trellis ride is the main focus of this room. Although you can not see it in pictures, lace curtain had roses and butterflies in the design, there are roses on the pillow of the bed, there is a rose potpourri, candles roses, roses in the picture, and the roses here and there, and certainly Just … cabbage roses in the design of the chair! The Rose Trellis

Antique Chest and Mirror

This Chest of Drawers was handed down from a grandparent. Vicky painted it in Cottage White enamel and painted the drawer pulls in Southern Belle Pink. On top she has a couple of vintage tea pots and a bird house.

The Mirror was purchased new at Lowes. The frame was originally silver, but she painted it in the Cottage White to match the chest.

The Rattan Table in front of the window, by the bed, is a sewing table she purchased at an antique store. It makes a great night stand for the hubby as it has a compartment underneath to keep magazines or books. On top she has placed an antique alarm clock and bowl of rose potpourri.

Romantic Cottage bedroom has to have a fireplace

The Fireplace was bought new and is a “must have” for this romantic bedroom. She added Cheri Blum Nosegays Wallpaper Cutouts Wallies on the panels to “pretty it up” a little.

On the mantle are some old photographs of grandparents. The black & white portrait is of Vicky in her wedding dress. The large portrait above the fireplace was found at an antique store. Those are real roses in the vase, but other times, she can use silk roses.

Floral Chair and Ottoman

This Chair has a slip cover that’s made in the material that started it all. The slip covers for the chair and ottoman were made by a local seamstress.

The Table by the chair is a new white fake vintage table. The tea set on it was a birthday gift. Vicky loves to relax here with a cup of tea and a book!

The portrait of the bride on the wall beside the chair was purchased at a consignment shop. It originally had a gold frame, and she painted it in the Cottage White.

Antique Dresser

The Dresser was found at an antique store. She left it original, since it was already white. There’s a rose scent candle with a rose candle topper sitting on the dresser along with two marble base lamps, and some other vintage items she picked up here and there.

The Picture Collage prints are from a book of prints bought on sale and the frames came from Wal-Mart (on sale also)!

The Bench was on her front porch and orignally black. She painted it in the Southern Belle pink and added some floral wallies on the seat. The pillows on each end have covers made from extra fabric from the chair and ottoman. The pillow in the middle is a Shabby Chic rose cross-stitch.

The Chandelier has roses and crystals. She ordered this online and the pink was more “peach” than she wanted, so she painted the roses in Southern Belle pink also! She also uses silicone flicker candelabra bulbs, which make the lights appear as very realistic candles. It adds another romantic touch to the room!

The Hat Lamp

This lamp Hat wicker sewing table settings at the bedside. He found this in an antique shop and it seems to be homemade. color is actually pink feathered hat and pearls attached to the periphery. Crystal base when filled with roses. is the plate upside down! You can see why this lamp is perfect for this room.
